Meet the Team
Bloom brings education and health experience together, with one shared aim: to create support that feels joined-up, inclusive and genuinely useful for children, young people and their families.
Between us, we bring experience across education, mental health, tutoring, SEND, CAMHS, leadership and service development — but just as importantly, we share the belief that children and families should feel listened to, understood and supported rather than passed from one place to another.

Jade Tierney
Founder & Director · Education Lead
Qualified Secondary Teacher · Achievement Lead · Private Tutor · MSc Psychology (in progress)
Jade is the founder of The Bloom Room Community CIC and Ribble Valley Education.
She is a qualified secondary teacher, Achievement Lead and private tutor, with experience supporting children and young people across a wide range of abilities, backgrounds and educational needs.
Her approach to education is strongly rooted in psychological safety, inclusion and understanding the individual child. Through teaching and tutoring, Jade has worked with young people experiencing low confidence, anxiety around learning, neurodivergence, SEND and difficulties engaging within traditional educational environments.
Alongside her work in education, Jade is completing an MSc in Psychology, developing her knowledge of areas including mental health, trauma, neurodiversity and individual differences.
Jade created Bloom after repeatedly seeing families who needed something between traditional education, health services and social support — somewhere children could belong without having to fit into a particular box first.
At Bloom, Jade leads on education, inclusive practice, community development and working directly with children and families.

Fran
Director · Mental Health & Clinical Lead
Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) · Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) · 16+ years NHS experience
Fran is a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) and Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) with more than 16 years of NHS experience.
Her career has included work across child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS), community mental health, crisis services, inpatient care, Accident and Emergency and Home Treatment Teams, supporting children, young people, adults and families.
Fran has also held leadership and management roles within CAMHS, with experience in service development, staff education and improving pathways of care.
Earlier in her career, Fran specialised in trauma-informed practice, and this continues to influence the compassionate and person-centred way she works.
At Bloom, Fran brings a health perspective to complement the educational experience already within the organisation. Her role is not about turning Bloom into a clinical environment. Instead, she helps us think about wellbeing, early support, family needs and how education and health can work better together.
Fran is passionate about creating support that is accessible, preventative and shaped around the real experiences of children and families.
Why education + health?
Too often, families experience education and health as two completely separate systems.
At Bloom, we want to explore what can happen when those perspectives sit around the same table.
