Growing with our community
We want every child in the Ribble Valley — whatever their needs or background — to have somewhere they can connect, explore and feel they belong. As more families look for different ways to learn and grow together, we want Bloom to grow alongside them.
To help children reconnect with learning through psychologically informed, practical experiences that nurture curiosity, confidence and belonging.
A future where every child feels safe enough to explore, discover their strengths and develop a lifelong love of learning.
Where we're heading
Bloom is growing at the pace families need it to. As our community develops, these are the things we are working towards.
Keep sessions as affordable and accessible as possible
Offer funded and subsidised places for families who need them
Develop more community sessions and parent meet-ups
Build partnerships with local organisations and specialist facilitators
Grow into new locations as funding allows
Beyond community sessions
Our long-term ambition goes beyond inclusive community sessions and learning activities. We want to develop accessible emotional wellbeing support for children, young people and parents — drawing on clinical expertise and building partnerships between education, health and community services.
We want to provide earlier support for families experiencing unmet needs, school distress, difficulties accessing services or barriers to inclusion, while continuing to support families who freely choose home education. Our current community sessions and parent meets are the foundation for developing more specialist, sustainable services in the future.
Inclusive community sessions for children and families
Parent meets, and a supportive community around them
Learning activities that build confidence, connection and curiosity
Accessible emotional wellbeing support for children, young people and parents
Support that draws on clinical expertise, developed with the right professionals
Partnerships between education, health and community services
Earlier support for families facing unmet needs, school distress, difficulty accessing services or barriers to inclusion
To be clear: emotional wellbeing support, clinical input and school programmes are not services we run today. They are the ambitions we are working towards, and we'll update this page honestly as each piece becomes real.
Grounded in what families tell us
Our vision is shaped by national research and, most importantly, by the families we work with. We share our evidence honestly — including where our samples are small.
